Birthday Cake Kits for Kids

For her 7th birthday project, Katelyn wanted to share her love of birthday cake with other kids. By collecting supplies like boxed cake mixes, frosting, candles, plates, balloons, and disposable pans, she put together 28 kits for families in Door County who could not afford a party.

After creating a label with a Happy Birthday wish, Katelyn delivered 14 kits to St. Vincent de Paul - St. Joseph's Conference in Sturgeon Bay and another 14 to HELP of Door County, Inc.

To celebrate her sharing spirit, SVDP surprised Katelyn with a cake and she was joined by Let's Go Door County and FOX 11 News to share her story! Katelyn was also featured in the local paper, The Pulse.
